Instructor Assisted Freefall (IAF / AFF)
Instructor Assisted Freefall, often referred to as Accelerated Freefall, is an "accelerated" learning program similar to hiring a tennis or golf pro as a tutor. After four to five hours of ground training, the student makes a jump from 10,500 to 13,500 feet with two freefall instructors. The instructors fall with the student from the moment they leave the aircraft until opening, assisting the student as necessary to fall stable, monitor altitude, etc. The student then deploys his or her own parachute around 5000 feet and flies the canopy to landing. If you want to learn to skydive, IAF is the easiest, fastest and ultimately the most inexpensive way to learn.
The cost of the course and first jump is $299 inclusive. You must be 18 years of age and less than 230 pounds. Trainings and jumps are offered Wednesday through Sunday. Pre-registration is a must by calling 800-909-JUMP or via email jump@skydivepa.com.
